A lot of people I talk to tell me they want to make a difference.
To help others.
To make an impact.
To build something important.
What we don’t realize is how many opportunities we have to do these things that may appear small on the surface but actually have the potential to be HUGE if we all come together for the greater good.
If you are one of those people who wants to contribute to the world, here’s a chance to participate in making some waves. Get involved in a movement that matters.
Live From Stage IV launched a hashtag campaign today to not only raise awareness, but to get the needed attention metastatic breast cancer deserves and desperately needs. We need more than awareness. We need a cure.
Every 13 minutes a woman dies from breast cancer. We donate, walk, sponsor and raise funds “for the cure” but yet only 2% from those efforts actually goes into finding a cure for metastatic breast cancer, which is the sole cause for ALL breast cancer deaths.
In 2007, The Susan G. Komen Foundation raised $162 Million dollars. Only 2% of those funds went to finding a cure for metastatic breast cancer. This is the number one cause of deaths in breast cancer patients.
It’s time to change that. It’s time for the voices of so many of our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and fellow HUMANS to be heard.
My best friend Chrissy is one of 100’s of thousands affected by metastatic breast cancer. She was diagnosed with breast cancer last May. It metastasized to her bones and has now spread to the lining of her brain. She is a fighter. She is a warrior. She is a hero.
We need more fighters, warriors and heros. We need YOU. Use these hashtags to show your support across social media today. #dontignorestageIV #metsmonday #bckills
Let’s come together. We are all in this life together. Humanity needs us. ❤
