The Philosophy of Sobriety
The Philosophy of Sobriety is a 40-day program designed to shift your mindset around sobriety. It will take you on a journey by providing you with a consistent, daily sober mindset practice. Each day you'll receive a concept, essay and in-depth video about the teaching.
Think of it like a daily devotional for your sobriety, designed to help you create subtle, yet radical shifts in your thinking about what it means to live a life free of alcohol.
Through daily repetition you will effectively begin to change your mind, raise your confidence levels and feel inspired by what comes up for you by simply reading, listening and digesting the information over the course of 6 weeks.
It’s no different than if you wanted to create stronger muscles at the gym. Every day you would put in reps to build those muscles. The Philosophy of Sobriety is essentially a personal trainer for your sobriety, helping you build your alcohol-free, sober muscles on a regular basis, through repetition.
This simple process will strengthen you and leave you feeling encouraged, empowered, and ready to move through your sober lifestyle with more resolve and grace.
Ready Now?
Mindset is the secret sauce to successful sobriety. This program is built as a consistent daily practice to help you fundamentally shift your mindset so sobriety feels more sustainable.
Whether you are already sober and want to keep it that way OR you're sober curious and have been trying to quit drinking - working on your mindset is KEY.
When you quit drinking, it is often the first time you are faced with actually sitting with yourself. All kinds of things begin to surface when you remove the distraction of alcohol from your life.
After working with thousands of people and studying and teaching it since 2008, I can tell you that most of what sobriety boils down to is mindset.
Your mind is the place where you make your choices based on what your thoughts are saying.
And let's be honest, when you first try to quit drinking, it can feel impossible because you're still constantly thinking about alcohol.
Your mind tells you it will always be a struggle as you can only imagine what being sober is like. You'll come up against the common questions like:
Do I have to call myself an alcoholic?
Am I really never drinking again?
What will people think of me?
Will I become boring or stop being invited to the things?
How will I manage my....stress, anxiety, overwhelm, boredom, loneliness?
How will I socialize, travel, celebrate or have fun?
How will I have the confidence without it?
There are lots of question marks and assumptions about sobriety.
And even after time under your belt, your mind is still the battleground and ALL relapse starts here first.
No matter what, the fears, questions and beliefs in your head about alcohol, sobriety and what being sober is like will run through your mind.
It all begins and ends in the mind. You have to retrain your mind for this lifestyle. This is why having a daily practice of devotion to your sobriety is of the utmost importance.
It’s important for you to create routines in your life that help you maintain your sobriety, calmness and peace of mind. 40 days of sober mindfulness will put your brain through a bootcamp that will help you reshape your mindset.
With all of the information swirling around us in the news and on social media, it’s important to stay grounded in choosing what we consume and what we fill our minds with.
Where energy flows your attention goes. This program is designed to help you put your energy and attention on what is most important to you, which if you’re on this page is likely your sobriety and what you’ve been working so hard to attain.
Your mindset is your most important asset.
Instead letting thoughts of anxiety and fear take over, what if you shifted your focus to filling your mind with new perspectives about what it means to be sober?
What if instead of letting overwhelm or boredom consume you, you set aside 10 - 15 minutes a day to feed your mind and nourish your soul with things that will support you on your sober path?
At the end of the day sobriety comes down to a willingness to do things radically different & change your mind about alcohol & what it means to you.
You can have a life of radical clarity, adventure and confidence in your sobriety.
You can choose to feel empowered in your choice to not drink.
You can choose change your mind about what it means to be sober.
Sustainable sobriety starts in your mind.
It truly is a journey — to change your way of being, you must first change your way of thinking.
Come with me on the journey into...
HOW & WHY IT WORKS
CONSISTENCY IS KEY
This will be a daily practice over the span of 40 days. Each day you'll be introduced to a new concept or thought of the day via a short essay. You'll then also be invited to watch a short video training to deepen your understanding of the philosophy behind it. By having a committed devotion to filling your mind each day with new, transformative ways of thinking, you will naturally begin to focus your energy, attention and intentions on overcoming alcohol. The goal of this course is to get you into a consistent mindset practice so you can navigate your alcohol free lifestyle with more ease.
CHANGES YOUR MIND
Being sober is a mindset. In order to quit drinking, you have to change your mind about what alcohol and sobriety mean to you. Through repetition of new perspectives and this philosophy, you will begin to experience subtle shifts in your mindset. By reading the daily essays, conceptualizing the information, and reinforcing it with video teachings and personal inquiry work, you will effectively begin to rewire your subconscious mind. We begin to reprogram your brain with new beliefs, which in turn create new neural pathways. This is how we change your mind.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Another important component to sobriety is believing in yourself and your ability to do this. This material aims to inspire you, uplift you and remind you of your greatness. The program is designed to help you get back to yourself and to carve out this time each day for YOU as well as give you a space to connect with others. Being sober is a huge accomplishment. One that takes a lot of support, self-love and commitment to one's self. We will commune as a group together to lift each other up and discuss what comes up for us in this journey. Each training offers you the ability to share feedback and takeaways to an off-Facebook community forum. By learning about The Philosophy of Sobriety and committing to this daily process, you are effectively demonstrating your willingness to learn a new way of thinking, which translates to a new way of being.
What You Will Receive On Your Journey:
Daily Concepts & Essays
Each day you will receive an essay with the thought of the day. It will include a concept to center yourself on, a short essay to break it down and you’ll also be provided with different kinds of personal inquiry opportunities, additional readings and meditations to guide you on your journey. These communications will serve as daily practice that you can go through in 10 minutes or less.
Video Training
Each day you'll also receive a video training, where I will provide a short teaching on the concept of the day. These trainings will dive into the philosophy on a deeper level so that you are not just learning by reading, but from watching and hearing it, offering your mind a second opportunity to absorb the information.
Assignments & Writing Prompts
You will receive various assignments & writing prompts as part of this program. They will be designed to help guide you deeper into thought where you will begin to reprogram your subconscious mind around alcohol and sobriety through the active process of writing, repetition and consistency. Through this process you will begin to create new neural pathways in your brain.
Accountability & Community
You'll be asked throughout the course of the journey to share, walk the path together & hold space for each other as part of this group and community, which will help hold you accountable in a way that feels good. This will be done in a private, off-Facebook community forum.
Mentorship
You’ll be able to post questions to Carly on the private community forum where she will be actively offering support. By joining this program you are gaining access to her 12+ years of sobriety experience and educational training.
Flexibility
This course is 100% self-paced offering you the flexibility to go through it at the speed in which works for you and your schedule. Although it is recommended as a daily practice, you'll never get behind and will always have the ability to pick up where you left off as well as repeat the course as many times as you want.
But can I afford this right now?
The better question is can you afford NOT to?
Let me make this a no brainer for you!
It's only $97 for the full 40 days!
This is less than what the average drinker spends in ONE week.
Consider it your daily cup of coffee (before inflation), except this will fuel you with more than caffeine - it will fuel your sober soul with the mindset you need to stay sober!
It's time to spend your energy, time and money on something that is going to give you long-term benefits.
Because let's face it, alcohol and the perceived benefits we think it brings us are very short-lived.
What if instead you invested that money into the best investment of all -- your mindset!
Here's what some past students said about it...
